How many eggs do we receive?
We provide 10 eggs with each kit.

Can we move the incubator once it is set up?
We suggest the incubator remain stationary once it is set up to ensure a successful hatch rate, however once the chicks are in the brooder box, they may be moved as often as you wish.

Is the feed provided?
Yes, special chick crumble is provided with the kit.

Can we keep the chicks?
Yes, you are welcome to keep the chicks. There are pages in the back of the manual outlining the raising and care required for chicks. Alternatively, we take the chicks back at the end of the program.

What happens to the chicks once we return them?
Chickens returned to us are generally used for free range egg production.

Can we tell the males from the females?
Chicken sexing is a specialized area, and is usually done when the chick is one day old. Unfortunately, after this it is very difficult to tell until the chickens are close to maturity.
